I saw this when ordering from Foxconnect last night. It's in French apparently as it has Heat on the cover & "Tension" right below it. For a minute I had some tension thinking I was getting a French version after I ordered it.

Ugh. I seriously hope this is just a mistake. I can't believe they'd release Canadian bilingual packaging in the US, it looks hideous.
It makes the movie's title look like "HEAT TENSION". If they actually use this artwork in the US they're going to have a LOT of confused customers.

Still don't see the fuss about bilingual packaging. Yea it makes the cover art look cluttered and ugly but does it honestly bother people that much? Just be happy you're getting it for a reasonable price and move on.

People are stupid but I refuse to believe that they are THAT stupid. It's glaringly obvious what the title is and when you see the characters faces you know what you're buying.

Bothers me a bit because i pre ordered the American release. If i wanted bilingual packaging i would've pre ordered it from Amazon.ca but i agree with what others have said that it's most likely just a glitch.

The US release won't be bilingual. Its def an error. Foxconnect often uses bilingual covers in their listings but everything I've received from them is English only.

Yeah that would annoy me as well. I have some imports that are like that and it's annoying as well but understandable because they are imports. Some films even have the alternative title along with/or instead of the actual title during the opening credits and that sucks.

Yep, and the front isn't quite so bad, because at least the French title is in a slightly smaller font, but the spine, which will be the only thing actually visible on my shelf, literally looks like it says HEAT TENSION, lol. Instead of a Michael Mann thriller, it looks like a science documentary, maybe the kind of thing Neil McCauley would be buying at Hennessey & Ingalls when he bumps into Eady.

That's just Michael Mann's sound mix in general. All of his films seem to be that way. The Last of the Mohicans, Miami Vice, Collateral, all of the volume for spoken dialogue is significantly lower when compared to that of either the music or the sound effects for gunshots. I'm not so sure all of Michael Mann's films are mixed the same way, but bare in mind, I only own Heat on DVD and Collateral on BD and DVD. Maybe there is a slight difference between his DVD releases and his BD releases. The Collateral BD release I own is quite good. The picture quality and sound quality are quite decent. I did own Mann's Miami Vice on DVD but gave it away, it reminded me of his Heat DVD release and I wasn't that much of a fan of the film. I'm not sure if the original Heat BD release sounds anything like the DVD, but the DVD release to me is pure garbage.
