Sweet **** All, If I Remember Correctly

Translation:

Universal have, to my knowledge, never released a newly remastered Blu-ray alongside a remastered UHD.

Jurassic Park 4k is now on Target with the 20% off. If you use that ($12) plus your Target Card (another 5%) and Befrugal (2%), you're getting a good amount less than Amazon.

Is the Target release a digibook? Still heavily leaning towards purchasing the Best Buy steel book.

Well common sense should tell anyone then that Jurassic Park will be no different.

I'd like to go that route too, but they've shown with 4K that they're willing to stack discs, which isn't too too much better than cardboard sleeves. I'm still leaning international releases but I need to know about how location titles are handled.

Thanks pre ordered from amazon.ca (digibook) I like the Steelbook but don’t think BestBuy.ca is getting any, looks like another BestBuy.com exclusive USA only

The Best Buy steelbook is now $69.99. Do you think this will drop any lower than that before release date? That's kinda pricey for me now. May has been an expensive month for me so far.

That's interesting.
Thats pretty awesome. Seems to be the way they are going forward, given they are doing the same with Pacific Rim Uprising. Doesnt seem to mention anything about it on the box art though, unlike PR:Uprising.

I would say based on other Universal UHDs titles they will be hard coded, pretty sure the BDs were too.

By hard coded, do you mean player generated?

Well, at least for the US releases Universal usually does leave original burn-in subs. Europe, on the other hand, often is out of luck (The Mummy, Bourne Ultimatum).

Potentially dumb question...is the assumption that the steel box packaging will not be stacked discs, but the others will be?

As much as I love JP and must own these, I don't generally collect steel books...and I only buy them if they look cool and are the same price as the non...But if consensus is they will store better, maybe it is worth the extra $20?
