Default say bye to black bars

ok well y'all seen my set up like 20 times already... so here is another update.
The screen was too big so i reduced it down to 106" I got better control of the sound from the center channel now and no more black bars for me. I made these light board to masked off the black bar. It's like heaven watching these 2:35:1 ratio movies now. adjustable to 2:40:1 or just take it out for the good ol 16:9. Say buh bye to anoying black bars

i will take some pics tonite if u'd like because i have to get my butt to work now. The material i got are white board $10.95 Lowes 4X8 but you can get them to cut for you (very light and study. i bought some adheasive spray and some cloth at Jo-Ann $8. Some velcro $3.
spray the board, wrap them and just basically hung them up using velcro.

very simple and cheap, this might sound crazy but it make me wanna re-watch all the movies in 2;35:1 ratios now

Yep. I've been meaning to add the same thing to my screen. Basically, the black strips will mask/absorb the 2.35:1's narrow bars of dark gray light. I've got some super strong magnets that I'm going to install behind my screen material to let the masks clip and unclip without seeing any fuzzy velcro, etc.

Why would you see the velcro, it's place behind the boards. The screen frame was wrap in black fabric to absord the light. Velcro stick right on to it.

Nonetheless, magnet is a great idea, i did tried that. If you look closely you could see that i have 2 metal bar painted flat black vertically on both side of the frame. I was hoping to find a board that is longer than 8 fts but those were quite heavy so i scraped that plan. Velcro is cheaper but i would say magnet would be better.

Thank you very much, i got the 300 poster at west coast video, one of the same things as F.Y.E and Coconuts, owned by the same place. That was when the movie came out in theatres. They also had a Spartan sword, helmet, immortal mask, alot of stuff but also very expensive.
