Default So...This just happened...

I bought out someone's entire Classic Doctor Who collection, with a few extras:

[Show spoiler]

Not only are the discs/cases in perfect condition, but they had all the slips/sleeves, and they threw in the first 23 issues of the original Marvel comic!

I'm dying right now...How the hell am I going to shelve these?!

The only way to GET a TT title is to buy it straight from the source at $35 shipped (unless there's a sale) and see the "limited to 3,000 copies" label, so I can't imagine anyone so hard up for cash that they'd sell one for two or three bucks.

It happens, I have seen them at second hand stores before for $15. I didn't get it at the time as it was a title I wasn't interested it. My area probably wouldn't have anything like that as those aren't the types of movies people would buy. But it does happen.

The place I found them at is my local used book/media store (http://www.mckaybooks.com/). They have three locations in TN (Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga).

They are technically a pawn store, because they buy/sell/trade items such as gaming systems, musical instruments, cameras, speakers, tablets, etc.

The majority of the store is books/music/movies/video games. I've been shopping at the Chattanooga store since I was a teenager, and I've found some great deals there over the years. The $7.95 Enemy Mine Blu-ray is probably the #1 find, though

I'll just say I paid less than $4 per title; the comics were thrown in as a bonus. There actually were a couple broken cases, everything else was in almost new condition. It was extra special to find all the slipboxes too. It seemed like the previous owner collected every title, watched them once (if that), and stored them away...sounds familiar.

It was a complete accident stumbling upon this collection. Considering many of them are OOP and going for a lot, I think I did pretty good, but I'm keeping them ALL! (except for a few duplicates)

I've been to that store a few times (I go whenever I'm in the area), and I'm amazed that you found them for those prices. In my experience, the DVDs and blu-rays have always been comically overpriced.

Yeah...they are really hit and miss. I still prefer having them around than not having anything, though
