I'm pretty sure I'm in a minority for the people that didn't like the second Hulk-film better.
But I do know that it was overhyped because it was a lot more "blockbuster-ish", you know.
With the help of films such as 'Iron Man', it was supposed to be this huge thing too.
But it got nowhere near as good as 'Iron Man', unfortunately...
To me 'Hulk' was a lot more like 'Iron Man', just put them side by side, you could see what I mean.
Or the other way around, cause 'Iron Man' came later, but yeah...

But the point being, if this Spider-Man-film would be done like the last Hulk-film,
it wouldn't have much depth to it, it would be just this one film
and it will be all entertaining for a while with the action and some shallow drama.
But then a year later nobody is waiting for a sequel or anything, it will be quiet around it again.
When i said the Incredible Hulk treatment I meant how they handled his origins in the opening credits, not the whole movie and Incredible Hulk is getting a sequel but its after the avengers.

Incredible Hulk wasn't as big as Iron-man (Box-office wise) was because of the lackluster effort on the first one, here's what the average moviegoer thought when seeing the trailer Hulk 08':

"Pifft it'll probly suck like the first one"

If Hulk 08' was released in 03' it would have been a "Blockbuster" (Box-office wise)

But then again it was all hyped up again much LIKE the newer comicbook-movies.
It got just as much attention but I don't think it was as successful.
I don't mean as the 'Hulk'-film, which is more considered a flop of sorts.
But as, again, 'Iron Man' and such...

Sure there was a group of people that stayed all negative since the first.
But there was also a large group that was all psyched just because it was this reboot.
And it's painful enough that we're back at that with Spider-Man.

"Unfortunately" there will be a sequel (not that it was terrible and I'll give it another chance),
but that's only because it was already settled with the story and upcoming films.
I was very excited about this whole thing with all these films merging together.
But after I saw 'The Incredible Hulk' I was unfortunately quite disappointed...

Well maybe after seeing Hulk in the Avengers movie will excite you again and not disappoint, But who knows maybe the new spidey movie will be better then the original (I use that term loosely)

It's not that. Not at all. I enjoyed Raimi's Spider-Man films, but I thought they could have been much, much better in terms of a comic movie.

The only great Spider-Man films would come from Marvel themselves. Seems like it's going to be a long wait to get that though. Sony won't let go of it for anything.

Yeah, that could be very different, with more characters together.
At least I hope the CGI will be better, would already make up for half of it. lol

But you said they did the opening-credits of the last Hulk-film right.
Didn't people say the same about the "Wolverine"-film? That's funny...

We'll see about Spider-Man though.
I just still can't get over the fact there won't be a continuation...
Which I've been looking forward to for many years. :\
Guess I just get the existing ones in HD then...

Wolverine is different, the director film those scenes but Fox wanted them to be cut in to the opening credits because they wanted the runtime to be shorter, Wolverine's original runtime was 120mins but cut to 107mins.

Oh wow, so there could be a Director's Cut?
I really liked the film in general but the opening credits was a pretty cool compilation on its own.
So it would be great if those shots would be shown as actual scenes.

Its up to fox whether or not they want to release a director's cut of XMO: Wolverine, they did that with Daredevil and it made the movie better.

I would LOVE a director's cut of Wolverine but then I am a huge Wolverine fan, much like I'm a huge Spidey fan.

Still need to see that version too.
But cool, I hope it will show up some time, as you mentioned 'Daredevil',
and "Wolverine" being an even bigger film, it probably will be.
Also 'Elektra' has apparently been given a proper and actual 'Director's Cut'-treatment.
Not sure how that turned out, but I guess Fox is doing it that way then.

That actually really upsets me, I thought he was the perfect guy for the role.

And I have a feeling that Sony's rebooting this movie to capitalize on the success of Twilight.
Would this be so bad? Any person with a good understanding of the character realizes how important Peter's many love interests are to him as a character. And maybe if they'll tackle the material from that perspective, we might actually see a proper translation on Gwen Stacey. Spider-man moreso than many comic book heroes is heavy on that kind of drama.

And again, dudes, they don't need to go back to the origin to reboot. Look at episode 1 of Spectacular Spider-man. They don't tread over the origin. Not of his powers, nor his costume, nor his drive to be a hero.

Don't you decide what I know of it...

I said multiple times before that I already didn't like it would start over again to begin with.

Besides, whenever I read or watched 'Spider-Man' in drawn or animated form (before the films were made),
I already found him to look older than he technically was.
I thought they did that really well with Tobey Maguire, I got the idea it was the same character.

So I don't need this blue-eyed "High School Musical"-looking kid
playing Spider-Man while he doesn't look the part to be honest.
That would look way TOO boyish even though Peter Parker would be young.

Well said.

Remember the difference in perception of a teenager in the '60s(when Spidey was created) to the perception of a teenager now. Back then, a teenager was more responsible, respectful, resourceful, etc, etc...

I am 100% against a reboot. It's way too soon. Raimi deserved to redeem himself after Spider-Man 3, a film that could have been great, if not for the shoehorning of Venom into the movie. I've always said that they should have saved Venom for the very end of 3 and then continued with him in 4.

A reboot is a bad idea.

That is definitely the way to go about it. No need to see him get bit by a spider (genetically enhanced or radioactive). They should just start with him in the suit; I've always though that opening with a big fight between Spider-Man and Rhino would be a great intro.

Did you see Raimi's reported ideas for Spider-Man 4? They sounded really awful to me. I agree about the venom part but I think the series, as it was going, is burned out.
