i semi-agree with you. the textures on walls, floors, doors, grass etc. suck, however player models and animations are excellent and since most of the game is so fast paced you never have time to look at the low-res crappy textures, a lot of people think that the graphics are just amazing when in fact games like hevenly sword, uncharted, even unreal tournament 3 are techincally superior due to the fact of how great the detail in EVERYTHING is. COD4 is also upscaled 600p which is barely better than DVD resolution, but nobody rarely brings that point up either, plus the campaign is about 5 hours long, which isn't acceptable, excellent leveling system online really saves the game and makes it so popular and great.

Keep in mind guys that MGS4 and MGO are all running 1080p/60 which has a resolution of approx. 300% more than COD4, and from everything i hear the gameplay is as good if not better than COD4. Meaning this game from a techincal standpoint is greatly superior to COD4. However, the xbots will still claim after watching a low-res youtube video that gears, halo, and cod4 all look better and when they do muster up enough $ to buy a PS3 because they realize the BEST games are coming to the system, they will still say it, because they are playing off a 26 inch 720p Vizio LCD and can't see a difference.

For anyone who didnt get out and get a preorder DVD to get a beta code and wants one:

Got a bad Beta code with my preorder. Sent an email to get a fixed one however didnt hear back from them for a few days so I ended up buying another preorder DVD and got a good code.

Of course I got the email with the new good beta code late today. So now I have an extra one. Just looking to get my $5 back for the extra one I bought.

12:15 am and it's not working. I'm not really surprised. Konami really screwed the pooch on this entire process so far so it not working when it's supposed to really isn't surprising.

Not to ruin anybody's day, but it looks like the online beta is being postponed. Konami's site says they'll have an announcment on the 22nd, and the beta is being extanded til May 11th.

can this really be confirmed i remember last time they said something the same for the call of duty maps for the 360 an they came out the day it was suppose to come out
