I saw this tonight on a whim and thought it was a perfectly serviceable, entertaining movie. A little slow paced until the last act, and I really didn't care for

, but found it good overall. Alicia Vikander was solid and likeable. I'd see a sequel but I doubt we'll get one based on the box office projections.

I haven't seen the Angelina Jolie ones in a long time, but honestly Alicia Vikander is just all that much better of an actress all around, so she's easily the superior Lara Croft.

Pretty fun film too, though it would really suck if it bombed this weekend.

I liked it!! Lets hope this movie takes off over the weekend. A. Vikander is great as the new Laura Croft and hope we see more sequels.

I kind of wish Jonah was there instead of Lu Ren, but he did a decent job. At first I was also surprised Sam wasn't there, but they did go in a slightly different direction

so it makes perfect sense why they wouldn't include her even though she was important to the original story. I like some of the changes they made to the story, basically retconning the first game to make it fit in more with the larger conspiracy they set up in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Also, the 3D was worthless, don't bother with it for this one. I'm usually a fan of 3D and was hoping for something better as the stereo supervisor worked on Doctor Strange and Guardians 2, but it was barely noticeable most of the time. Perhaps the darkness of many scenes and the lower budget may have been factors.

Not a huge Jolie fan, nor of her 2 Croft films, but she was pretty much perfect in them.

Vikander always plays the same part to me, maybe cause her husky voice? We shall see, but while she's cute, she's usually just good for always showing her boobs when I see her movies. I'm guessing she actually keeps her clothes on in this one?

Better actor doesn’t necessarily mean better for the role.

Vikander perfectly matches the rebooted Lara (in look and naivete) but improves upon her by being less of a cardboard cutout.

Nobody else could've been better for the role. She is Lara now.

Went last Night and saw it in Dolby Cinema... there was roughly 15 people at the 7 PM showing... The film was serviceable, but like everyone else, Vikander was the best part of the film. I would love for a sequel, but have a bad feeling about this with how poor it may preform.... Not looking good for it, I think the critics killed this one, which sucks.
