Yes, I didn't realize they were new to this edition since the press release doesn't seem to emphasize the stereo tracks as new. But that is obviously just another reason to buy this. I guess I will end up seeing Ghostbusters: Afterlife a lot sooner than I planned. Sony are very shrewd when it comes to this franchise on home video.

Wow this really is above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for! I’m really excited to see the preview cut and the raw dailies, what a goldmine that’s gonna be!
After the Columbia 1+2, karate kid and now this set Sony is really on a roll with these boxsets. I really love their dedication to including original sound mixes along with new atmos and 5.1 remixes. Dolby Vision too!

It really wasn’t a tangent. Just a comparison. An apt one. Without getting into spoilers, the writers of Afterlife insert a lot of false drama into inter-character relationships just so they can resolve the drama and trick you into thinking you’re experiencing an arc when that faux arc has really just taken you back to square one. Luke Skywalker was already a hero but they make him a loser to make him claw his way back to heroism. Han and Leia love each other but they’re estranged so they can find their way back to one another. And Egon is supposedly a hermit who burned every possible bridge only to reveal he was secretly the best Ghostbuster and a great friend and family man after all.

The audience already liked Egon. To make the reveal that Egon is not a piece of a shit the emotional climax of your movie is inherently manipulative and it’s executed in a wholly-unconvincing way.

PayPal usually does, but dis a normal debit card charged directly. However, I think it’s the pre-authorisation that I’m seeing on my account. All good.

For anyone curious about the 90 minute doc “Ghostbusters: Behind Closed Doors”; it’s not actually new (just new to disc) and is currently streaming free on tubi. I remember watching it when it came out on that REELZ channel and enjoying it overall.

Yep they are very reliable I have been using them and their sister company WowHD for years and if you pre-order multiple items they will ship them as they become available but you will be charged extra for the shipping.

An early version of the first movie, the TV version.... AND the Ghostbusters II deleted scenes??

I don't even have 4K, but there's too much new on this to pass up (including the extras that were only on the previous 4K release). And the new blu-ray only collection doesn't include the bonus discs.
