What time do their B2G1 sales go live? Midnight est or later? Wondering how this is going to shape up as far as what is included or not...

Since there seemed to be a tiny ray of hope and I was up … Nothing in my cart showed as eligible.

As we feared. No movies.

And only kids books as far as books. Was going to get an omnibus or two but nope.

Did get a few games though:

Wwe 2k22
Tiny Tinas Wonderland
Final Fantasy Stranger of Paradise

Does this mean we will never see B2G1F movies or did Target have a reason to exclude them this time?

I sort of figured they would reduce the discount to B3G1F rather than eliminate it entirely. Outside of Black Friday, in the last few years I've bought most of my movies from Target. If that's gone, I don't know where I'll buy them any more with Best Buy taking away free shipping soon.

The only good thing about this is I can go to bed now. I'm on PT so midnight is my usual bedtime.

Could be that since store selection is shrinking and it's in store as well and it's probably meant more for Easter basket filler, they didn't include movies. Hopefully next time they will.

I guess Rugrats, Clockstoppers, and Jimmy Neutron will have to wait a little longer lol

I thought maybe all pop culture books (Marvel, DC, Star Wars) would have been in the "kid's books" category. So when is the next opportunity....Father's Day?

Stinks about the movies not being included this time around. Hopefully it's not gone for good. I did get 3 games for now though, might get 3 more this week if they don't sell out. Surprised Rachet and Clank isn't in on the sale though...

Dying Light 2
Sackboy: Big Adventure
Kena Bridge of Spirits

Target has had B2G1F sales that excluded movies a few times before. I highly doubt that it's a sign that they will never include movies again.

Great deals. I got the Frozen II 4K exclusive for $10.49 a couple years ago. I got the Toy Story 4 4K Best Buy steelbook for $10 during their 2019 B2G1F sale. I see no point to pay another $10 for the Target exclusive unless there's more to it than a storybook inside.

Grabbed them both in store. The tag said $34.99 but they rang up at $9.99. Solid deal

Seems to be a rather unnecessary and strange jump to potential conclusion.

As mentioned it's not the first B2G1 to exclude movies, an Easter-ish sale hasn't been an every year thing, and the sales seem pretty popular so not sure why they'd get ride of them. The Washington's Birthday sale was a week early this year, so a Spring/Easter Sale being a week or so late wouldn't be unreasonable and back to back sales with different sets of items isn't unheard of.

Or they could just chnage to 3 times a year sale -- Feb, Nov, and June/July. These sales have never been set in stone other than the one around mid February.

Ingram Entertainment isn't out of business even if their in-store presence is lessened. It seemed 95% of the sales were online anyway so losing a fraction of in-store sales doesn't seem to be much of a loss anyway.
