You know guys, it's the Beta testing. I'm glad they're making these mistakes now instead of screwing up the actual release.

I agree 100%. I don't feel like we have the right to ***** about a FREE Beta of a game that most won't be able to play for about 7 more weeks. Konami dropped the ball, but it's better than not having any balls to play with. Somehow that didn't come out of my mouth right. I'll stop now.

in a way the beta is not free because we pre order the game to get the beta.

Just because its free doesnt mean it has to run like a damn vietnamese circus.

Every other beta has been great on the PSN and even xbox live, so this is a joke of a situation.

No one preordered this game just to play the beta. They preprdered to buy MGS4. Even if they did preorder just to play the beta, preorders can be cancelled. I agree the beta has been handled horribly. I just don't feel all the fire and brimstone are completely necessary. Let's all go back to playing GT5:P. How many people will still be *****ing come 4/29/08 at 12:01 am?

Originally the machine gun had a such a large spray that it was not a
effective weapon against infantry. More useful for jeeps or warhawks
it would be mostly misses on a infantry that was sitting still.

The only thing that boterhs me is the Konami ID thing. I am all ready to go on the PS3 side of things, but I CANNOT get past the birth date/country screen without it timing out. I have been trying for over an hour now straight.

Man, finally had my ID sat, after 1 day of hell on IE & downloading firefox etc. Had PS3 on all day yesterday and last night and finally downloaded V1.01this morning, got up early 6.00 am, (GMT) installed the bugger, entered my ID, it was all going so well, until error. Had a look on the Uk playstation forums, and was greeted with the previous displayed message.

What a complete waste of electricity and a weekend.

Seriously, I'm not sure how anyone could ***** about this stuff. Talk about society taking a plunge to a lower level.

It's a BETA test. This is _not_ a consumer level release product. It is Konami trying to learn from the market what it's actually going to take to release a quality product that will meet expectations come June 12th.

There isn't a single person in this Beta who has the right to complain one single bit. Period. The end.

Sure, I didn't like clamouring with the konami id craptastic site either, but it's craptastic now so it won't be later when the masses need to get it going. This is Konami's first time doing anything on this level. They have a lot to learn that they can only learn from a massive public beta.

The only thing that will be accomplished by anyone complaining about this Beta is no more of them. People complain there aren't any betas and game companies don't do enough testing then they ***** when they go out of their way and spend millions of dollars to do a large scale beta before release that is FREE to players so the company can ensure they meet all expectations of people who pay for the title later.

Anyone who complains about anything with this Beta has no right to even be involved in a beta program. They simply don't have the understanding required to do beta testing.

If it's released and you pay big $$ to play it and it falls apart, then *****. Complain like a mofo then and even contact the FCC! Hell, sue them for all I care. But, when it's not the final product just shut up already and enjoy the early experience we are getting and hope that more game companies not only give us this opportunity to 'try before we buy' but also put this level of quality assurance into making sure the final product is top notch and fully capable.
