Community, PNR, 30 Rock, and The Office is such a solid 2 hours of comedy it isnt funny. I dont understand how Community isnt doing better, the show kills every week, if it gets canceled it will be the biggest disaster since AD.

I have completely given up on trying to understand the american viewing public. Shows like Community, Chuck and Fringe should have 12 million viewers but instead Shat My Dad Says gets those ratings....It's a damn shame.

Relax and just enjoy the show. It's not getting cancelled. It did poorly last season as well compared to what it did the first season because of it's time slot. I'm not worried at all, at least not for the rest of the season. I'd also go as far as to say it gets one more season after this.

It would really be nice to have your favorites and know that you don't gotta worry about whether or not they are gonna be on next week. I hate this shit.

Dude, Shat My Dad says was actually funny on thursday. Not "It's shitty" funny. It was funny funny. Not THAT funny, but it wasn't pure crap.

If you want to talk about crap comedies going on for long time, look at Two and a Half Men.

It did .4 BETTER last year as opposed to this year. Fox needs three hours cleared off for the X-Factor next year.

WyldeMan45 I forgot do you like crime procedures? Because Criminal Minds is one of the best shows on TV right now I think and that's on CBS. But I forgot if it was you or someone else that said they don't like crime procedural.

I've seen Criminal Minds off and on for years but as soon as I heard they dropped JJ and promoted that obnoxious hacker broad instead, I knew I'd never watch it again. I've never liked Thomas Gibson so that doesn't help. JJ was the only reason I would have had to watch that show and now she's gone.

OK yeah I understand that. I hate how they got rid of JJ and the way they did it was the stupidest way I have ever seen.

What I thought was really shitty about that situation, is that they fired A.J. Cook reportedly to cut costs, only to just a few days later promote Kirsten Vangsness as a full fledged regular on the spin-off while remaining a series regular on the original as well. You'd think if anything they could have just sent A.J. to the spin-off instead of firing her from the show. That has got to be pretty shitty for your co-worker who had been a friend for many years to take a big promotion right after you're fired to save money.

Yeah it's one of the most screwed up thing I have ever seen on a show before. Also cut the episode count for the other girl actor who plays Prentiss.

This was my pick for first cancellation of the season (see earlier posts in this thread), but unfortunately I had no idea that the best reviewed new show of the season, Lone Star, would completely crap the bed and do horrible.

Yeah I remember that, how do you call that chick a friend after she takes a huge promotion so you and your other co-worker could be fired, or at least have your work significantly cut. I don't get it what makes her so likable? She's actually one of the biggest problems I had with that show, she is just terrible, and they double her appearances.

Friday dramas down for Week 2
Quote:
Friday dramas "Blue Bloods," "Outlaw," "CSI: NY," "The Good Guys" and "Medium" all dipped in the ratings last night.

This is an immediate problem for NBC's new Jimmy Smits legal drama "Outlaw" (4.7 million viewers, 1.0 preliminary adults 18-49 rating), which is down 9% and running out of viewers to lose.

CBS' "Blue Bloods" (11.2 million, 2.0) ranked as the night's highest-rated show, down 9% for its second episode. It's lead-ins, "Medium" (7.8 million, 1.2) and "CSI: NY" (10.4 million, 1.7), fell 14% and 15%, respectively. "Medium" has reached a worrisome adult demo rating as well.

CBS won the night, followed by NBC which also aired a two-hour "Dateline" (6 million, 1.3). ABC had repeats and a rather low-rated "20/20" (4.1 million, 1.0). Fox had a repeat and "Good Guys" (3.2 million, 0.7) -- ranking as the night's lowest-rated show.

In their second weeks, "Smallville" (2.4 million, 1.0) and "Supernatural" (2.0 million, 1.0) both lost 23% of their impressive debut ratings.

I don't know, that show is amusing. It's absolutely horrible, but amusing. I think it's more because I like Colin, Bradley and Jenny but it is a terrible show.

I watched an episode or two when it first started, I just found Dan's catch phrase "Let's go bust some punks" classic. It's one of the shows that reminds you of the 80's. It's the same thing Human Target does, but I was actually more bored with that one than Good Guys. Either way I don't watch them so if they're canceled it wouldn't bother me any. Maybe Colin, Jenny and Bradley can get better tv shows next year.

My thoughts on the seasons new shows (that I've seen):

As dumb as Outsourced is, the cast actually has chemistry. Not many shows have that from the start. If the show evolves from Indian jokes, it could be pretty decent.

The Undercovers is like Chuck, but with less interesting plots/characters.

The Event isn't really that good. I should probably stop watching. But I'm interested in seeing what they do this coming week.

Hawaii 5-0 has been a great surprise. Lot of fun.

The rest of the shows I've only seen one episode of. I'll get to them next week.

When it was announced during the spring, I called it "Future Chuck" but that's actually an insult to Chuck now having seen it. I do find it funny though that their assistant with the giant man crush, Ben Schwartz is the same dude that plays Jean-Ralphio on P-Rex.

When I heard about I was honestly expecting something more serious like Alias. The previews were certainly more Chuck-ish. I just didn't expect the whole show to be so damn bubbly.
