I never suggested any of those films were auto-conversions. I said they were spitting out multiple titles per week and you said I was wrong... I wasn’t. I have purchased probably 75% of the 4K titles released so and never expected my library would be this big so quickly.

My point was that I’m surprised these 4K titles are being churned out so quickly. It’s obvious that some conversions were a labor of love, like Blade Runner, and others weren’t. I simply think they should be focused on quality over quantity. If you can’t concede that some of these re-releases are nothing more than simple cash grabs you might be drinking too much of the 4K look aid.

I'll pick this up if I can get it with the slipcover. If not, I'll wait. I already have the 4K remastered BD (with slip) and I don't have a 4K TV yet. So I would be buying just for the packaging (this movie has long been cursed with terrible covers) and to future proof my collection.

I avoid 4K forums because of statements like this... people are just so nasty. Oy 4K related forums. Maybe this person will buy the movie but wants to wait until he/she can secure one with a slip elsewhere (from eBay or another vendor etc...). That sounds smart to me. Well just to clear things up: I was not the one who said you were wrong, only responding to the list because you brought it up after saying-

I was pointing out those titles didn’t fall under that. Cash grabs or not, most titles will offer an upgrade in one area or more.

He was wrong to be so insulting, but it is pretty damn frustrating to see all the discussion focused on the slipcover or digital copy half the time around here. It's not true, but sometimes it feels like only me and a handful of others actually watch the dang discs!

There are plenty of people on this site who are okay with paying the first week premium because a movie comes with a slip and would rather wait for a sale if it doesn't. It's not like they are going to avoid the release altogether.

I agree. I realize now that my post could have come across as anti-4K (and I’m sure there are plenty of trollers doing exactly that) but that want my intent. I’m glad that they are releasing titles so quickly... just surprised. And your comment reminded why... many of these tiles were re-mastered previously for the “Mastered in 4K” blu-ray re-issues so they were ready to go. Thanks!
