These are legit. They are both up for preorder on Gruv.

Edit: I see MifuneFan previously provided links!

The fifth film isn't the worst movie, but it was a bad way to end the series.

It's been a while since i saw it, but some scenes are acted out differently, which makes certain things work better.
After Rocky beats Tommy Gunn he helps him up and shakes his hand.
The intro is different, focuses more on Rocky's punches to his head.
The music is music from other Rocky movies, like 4.

It's also about 9 minutes longer too.

The street fight is a little longer and has Mickey in it a little more.

Since there's no chance of an alternate cut, it would be nice at least if some or all of the deleted scenes were included as extras. But without Stallone behind it I don't see MGM going to any effort whatsoever. In fact, it'll probably just be film only.

That's actually IV for me. Yes, really. I just find the story PAPER thin. It's just montages and two fights. Awesome montages and fights, yes, but there's barely a film there. I know it's beloved, but it sticks out like a sore thumb in a series that, generally, I find pretty underrated as character pieces.

I dunno. I loved Creed, hated Creed 2 and tolerated Creed 3. Also the Rocky film with Mason Dixon felt more like a love letter to Rocky than an organic continuation of the story.

Wait. Rocky IV is an actual movie?? I always thought it was an infomercial for body oil.

Just kidding. I actually enjoy it. Nostalgia is a powerful thing

I'm sure those have to be in some warehouse. They had the deleted scenes of Rocky IV after all so I would assume they would have Rocky V's deleted scenes somewhere. I would also love Stallone commentaries on all the films.

Ditto. Don't misunderstand - I love Rocky IV. But if there has to be a favorite and a least favorite (and I suppose there does), IV's least for me.

I'll have to see how I feel about V with adult eyes. It's always been my least favorite. Going back and watching I-4 on 4K though, I honestly didn't like 3 or 4 as much as I used to. They are just too far removed from Rocky 1/2 where they feel like a different character.

3 and 4 are a lot of fun as action hero/boxing movies but as a continuation of the the Rocky story, I feel they miss the mark. As an adult, I might appreciate 5 a lot more now since it's a throwback.

I did love Rocky Balboa though. I don't know how I feel about the Director's Cut where Rocky wins. That's just a bit too silly but I'm curious to see how it flows.

I could see watching Rocky 1, 2 and the Balboa as a trilogy and that being a powerful experience. 3-4-5 are pretty inconsequential to the story outside of Apollo.

I definitely think you’ll like V more now as an adult.

I don’t know how you’d go from II to Balboa, though. You’d need some explanation as to why Rocky is back where he started and running a restaurant after winning the title. I mean I guess considering the time passage, you could just assume Adrian’s death brought him back to live a bit lower profile, but…I’d say V is definitely more important to Balboa than III or IV. It’s not really until you get into the Creed films that you need IV. They really haven’t found a way to tie any real relevance (for future films) into III, I don’t think…

Watching Rocky V Drago right before watching Creed 2 made me like Creed 2 more than when I first watched it.
