Thanks!

I am excited. Does it matter if the subs are a little wider than this 15" x 15" x 2.5" platform? The subs are 15.5" x 10 ".

Will let you all know the results!

The low frequency waves have very long wavelengths. A few inches here or there does not make any difference.

They arrived today! Lookin' sweet, huh?

The really do remove any resonance transfer to our floor. I can listen to loud bass, and nothing shakes in the room like before. I am very happy. Now it is time to watch some MOVIES!

Thanks!

I am re-adjusting the sub's crossover, and volume settings. Definitely notice the difference in the floor. The floor used to vibrate with loud bass -- an irritant to our house "condo" neighbors below. I really don't want them to complain about house-shaking bass, so these SubDude's are awesome! Now the bass kicks, but the house isn't "kicked" LOL

I'll let you know when I get it working at an optimum level. Want that tight-bass response, we all love so much

Looks very nice.

Do you have other pictures of the material used and how you actually built it?

I am going to attempt to make a riser tomorrow for my sub. First I'll measure the exterior dimensions, then I will get some good sturdy 3/4" plywood cut to that size. I am thinking I may make the whole thing 8-10" high and put carpet on the plywood, and paint on the legs. I may attempt to use 2x2" wood for the "legs" instead of 2x4 so it digs a little deeper into my soft carpet/padding.

As far as WAF goes, I don't think she'll really care.

Hey what about putting my down-firing sub upside down on a riser so that it's an up-firing sub?

Since bass sound waves are non-directional I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. I would make sure that you put feet or spikes on the sub so it doesn't vibrate (slide) off the riser
