I think we can all agree this wasn't a shameful Oscar ceremony like the last two at least.

Good for her.
Really, you were "pretty Surprised" that she won?? She won pretty much EVERY Award leading Up to the show, be it Major or somewhat minor, so this was pretty much a foregone conclusion she'd win tonight.

I'm sure J. Chastain was 2nd in voting (I'd Love to see the voting percentages, but that'll never happen).

Yeah. Guess I didn't give enough shits to pay attention to the previous awards.

Daniel Day-Lewis is the first person in history to earn THREE leading actor Oscars! WELL deserved, each and every one!

I would of been happy with either Jennifer or Jessica won.
Jennifer was great, but wasn't the most standout of the movie, I felt Bradley Cooper more owned the movie.
While on the other hand Jessica was also great, but she had such a one dimensional character.

Iron Lady was an terribly directed and written film but Streep gave a performance that was amazing and kept me interested in the film. She deserved the Oscar.

Well, originally the Oscar choo-choo train was going full-steam ahead for Chastain. Then Lawrence had a lot of momentum once SLP started to actually do decent at t he box office . and then recently Riva was gaining momentum when it appeared Oscars might not give it out to the young pretty ones and give it to an experienced veteran.
Lawrence took it. Hope Chastain can win in the future. shes one of the best.

Once again, bad movie doesn't mean bad performances. Streep was brilliant in the Iron Lady. So glad the Academy doesn't have your thinking.

Why do you always complain about people complaining? "internet people don't like megan fox in tmnt", "people here are complaining about jennifer winning", etc.

There's more to life than worrying what people in the internet think. They're allowed to have opinions.

I'm just saying no one can ever be happy for someone. But I guess just like sports everyone has that team or person their rooting for.

I'm pretty sure we're happy for her (I know I am), but we just agree that her performance is overrated and there was obviously better performances from the other actresses.

For me it's not so much the actress but the film. I like her a lot as a person, just don't think the material was enough.

Well, he's the first man. Women have won more in the past.
