Amazon has it for $19.99 (and who knows, it may end up cheaper by release day). It will be shipped free with Prime. Shout wants $20.99 and $5.99 to ship it.

As much as I like and want to support this movie, $6 in shipping isn't worth it to me.
Picked this up on Shout sale for 15% off $20.99 with few other preorders and free shipping.

Took over 20 years but we finally got the TV show !

Speaking of, got e-mail confirmation from them saying my order has shipped!

Just got mine delivered. I can't wait to marathon all four during Halloween-time!

I got my copy in yesterday! It's been quite a few years since I last watched this series, so I'm looking forward to revisiting all of them. I could be wrong, but I think this is the first time Psycho 4 received an individual release in the U.S. since VHS. I know that it was released as part of a triple-pack on DVD, but I don't recall it receiving an individual release. I know SF was reluctant to release this movie, but hopefully it sells well for them and they take chances on other, similar titles.

Yes not since it was released on VHS and Laserdisc

Why was SF reluctant to release this movie?

I think they were more "reluctant" to release it as a "Special Edition" like they did with II & III (i.e. w/slipcover, and possibly more attention to special features), but having the rights, they'd be crazy not to release it even in this general format.

Being Shout!, they did add reversible artwork, but in this case it's just screenshots of the film.

you're still supporting the release simply by buying it....

I paid Shout! (directly) a total of $22.13, and I got it 18 days early.

At Amazon now, even with Prime and including state tax, I'd pay $21.19.

You do the math.

PS: Yes, my initial order did include about a dozen other titles...That's just how you have to roll with them to improve your shipping costs (sometimes).

Probably wanted to see how II and III sold first. Plus this is a cable TV movie and wouldn't sell as many units as those most likely.

No.

Looking back, it was one of their infrequent "promo" deals. So, I saved on the titles themselves, but still paid $8.99 shipping for (actually) 10 titles. At the time, I was felt OK with paying $0.90 shipping per BD.

It was never a Shout! release (Universal holds those rights with a steel claw), so no reversible art.

PS: Spoil and/or remove images when you quote them, please.

Seems odd that Universal insisted Shout only offer the original poster art for the sequels yet provided a crappy Photoshop job for their own release of the original.

Nice, I wish Universal used this as the boxart for the blu-ray.
