Thought I would post that the Uncharted Trophy patch is live on U.S. servers right now. Must have just gone up.

Trophies have given new life into Uncharted. Maybe it will increase sales.

Are trophies associated with the account or the hard drive or other? I am planning a trip to Mexico to visit family and want to bring my PS3 to collect some in game trophies for Uncharted, Super Stardust, etc.

I want to know, will I have to be connected to the network to achieve the trophies? Or will they show up when I connect to the network? Are they somehow associated with the hard drive on my machine? I plan to either upgrade my hard drive or get a new system here shortly. If someone has 2 ps3's and a game with trophies can try to answer these questions, I would appreciate it.

trophies are associated to your PSN account name

no, you can have trophies without even habing PSN

Assuming I have a PSN id that I am using when I play a game with trophies:

if I go to a friends house and l login as me on their console, will my trophies show up?

am i mistaken that when you unlock trophies and than you go in your list it's updating or refreshing your list. I could have sworn this step was to associate it to your PSN id....

no your PSN id is accesing your save

I still don't think its clear as to what happens when:

1) Complete a trophy but are not logged into your psn account.

(The motivation here is that I have a second PS3 which I just use for watching movies, but under games there is a trophy icon.)

2) Log in with PSN id, complete a trophy. Follow this with replacing your hard drive. do the completed trophies show up.

I have a few more scenarios but these will do for now. My main concern is that I may have a hard drive failure and then I lose my trophies. That would suck.

From everything I have heard and read...the trophies are tied to your PSN account. Meaning if you have a HDD problem and have to get a new one, they will still be there on the new one. You cannot get trophies without being signed into the PSN at least not that I have heard of and YES if you log in at a friends house your trophies WILL show up.

That's not true. Trophies for your account are stored on the server. I don't know if you can still earn trophies while offline - I doubt it, though the Trophy Collection in the XMB might be an offline trophy collection.

In any case, for your trophies to show up online to your friends or when you log in from another PS3, you must complete the trophies while connected to PSN.

Well its at the devs discretion. And there will only be 1 Platinum per BD game. So since we only have 3 games that have support right now and only 1 is a BD game...thats why there is only 1

Ill bet the Charted trophies are Gold for at least Hard and Crushing. Maybe Normal.

I think one plat per game is a bit off, hell if you complete MGS4 with BB embelm you should get 3. One for BB, one for FOXHOUND and one for FOX

Would someone be kind enough to explain to me how the leveling process works? Ive been collecting trophies but still can't figure out how much each trophy is worth to the level bar.

Trophies are stored on both the PSN server as well as locally on your current system. They are synced whenever there is a change locally on your machine and you have access to the PSN.
