lol nope not like in the old days. I loved always going in Walmart Monday night and hanging out and talking films and such. Then the people would put out the new titles and we could get which ones we wanted before they were placed in the coffins.

I think it's more of the real estate factor with reduction of media carried in store. I'm sure you know Best Buy did that years ago. I was at Dover DE store last year and they were one of the last store I know dedicated significant amount of space to media. I counted 10 aisles not including stands selling movies. I wish I took some pictures. I went there at the end of last year and they only had one aisle plus a few stands containing 4K which is about the most any Best Buy store carries. My local Best Buy only has a stand containing the latest releases at the store entrance and nothing else. But Best Buy isn't reducing the media sale online. So far they are still stilling selling everything that Target removed from its system last month.

There is only one store I know, the FYE in Wilmington DE that dedicated half of the store to media. I'll take some pictures next time I'm there. I talked to the store clerk and they told me they hardly get any customers buying movies. That's why they still remember me because I spent over $100 buying movies back in 2020 (they had a 40% off used back in 2020, and I still have FYE's BSP membership for extra 10% off everything). But they rented a very large store so I guess they couldn't figure out what to do with all that space. I can't imagine how much money they are losing, though the mall has so many vacant spaces.

I'm hoping it's like what Hariseldon said, that one of the major distributor for Target terminated businesses with Target or is negotiating a new contract, and it happened to be the sole supplier for Warner MOD and Universal MOD. But we will never know, unless Warner MOD returns to Target later.

You can just google "target ad [month] [date]" every Thurs. and see it for yourself. Sunday's ad has BOGO 50% toys and $10 Select Disney Movies.

14 days left for my 3 orders of $70 to get $20. Will unfortunately go unused if there isn't a b2g1 on books and movies in two weeks. I suspect they'll have one right when it expires

If you're referring to Target Circle credit, yes you'll get it back. If you mean a one-time use coupon, it's dead. You won't get it back. I used a 5% total purchase coupon by accident, and immediately canceled the order when it applied to one $5 item. I didn't get it back. But if you contact support and explain the situation, they MIGHT give you credit on the next order you place. YMMV of course.

I miss the Long Ago...
I remember as a kid lining up outside the dept. store with the Ticketmaster inside at 2am waiting to get in to buy tickets for shows. You would hang out with other fans, talk about music, meet some cool people, and just have a blast. Now you compete against bots for overpriced seats in the back.

It was also cool in the days of places like EB and Funco where you would wait outside for the midnight game release, same deal as above, just a fun time with other fans. Now it just auto downloads to your console.

I do not mind progress or convenience, I just enjoyed those little slices of life.

Just yesterday, I looked up tickets for My Chemical Romance's tour stop in Nashville. Floor seats & some of the lower deck are priced at $595, plus Ticketmaster's fees. Last row of the upper deck, "only" $103.50. Nope. And most of those crazy expensive floor seats are already sold out! Only a few left here & there. I just can't justify that much money for a two hour concert.

Are those reseller tickets prices? If not then yikes.

Here is what will be in store on Tuesday according to the ad..

-Mamoru Hosoda's BELLE ($24.99 Exclusive Steelbook, regular very likely $19.99)
-Infinite (Paramount+ Original) ($14.99 Blu-ray, no UHD in-store?)
No Licorice Pizza in the ad, however Tyrok in the Best Buy thread is reporting that the release may have been printed in very limited quantities as it is expected to not go on sale, and copies will be limited

I got fed up placing Drive Up orders trying to get Mandy Moore’s new album only to have them all cancelled due to lack of inventory that I just ordered it to ship instead. I saw a spot for it on the shelf at one of my local stores when I went in to grab a few groceries but literally no stores have it in stock.

I hope it arrives in good condition. It’s a cardboard digipak instead of regular case so I can only imagine how it will arrive shipping in the cardboard ravioli.

They are, MCR tickets cost me about 125 each and I'm on the floor.

I was looking at Ticketmaster's site, and these were "new" tickets in blue, not the reseller tickets shown in purple. "Premium Platinum Tickets" aka, "give us all your money" tickets.

Back on topic, is the Harry Styles vinyl a new full album? Didn't know he had anything new coming out.

Yeah that's the model for market based pricing. But if you bought the tickets when they first became available they were 125. That platinum is a late to the party Ticketmaster scam.

A ton of Disney titles are on sale on Best Buy's website that have very rarely gone on sale (Cruella, Jungle Cruise, Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Free Guy) for $13.99 BD/$17.99 UHD.. Maybe you can price match them at Target in-store?
