I cant wait until 10+ years time when hopefully by then, someone, somehow has decided a movie specifically based on the original games, has to be made.

The Jolie movies were merely a nod in the direction of the games. Everything else was entirely different if you ask me.

These remake games have nothing on the originals and neither does this movie. How long before both franchises die.

The teaser for the new game dropped and it just felt and looked identical to the last 2 games.
I will await for a proper trailer/gameplay before I write it off but I almost guarantee, like the sequel, it will be too close to the first remake and ergo get boring really fast.

I saw this today and enjoyed it. A 4 out 5. I like how they felt they didnt have to copy the Jolie ones and seemed less over the top.

I hated this movie. It was boring and useless and only served to set up sequels that will never be made 1/5 from me. This is the worst movie I have seen in years and I saw mother! In theaters

It was an origin story like Batman Begins still with a lot of action and adventure in it. what the hell did you expect. A sequel will be made. The potential is huge for it to do even better than this

Not the biggest US money maker, but I think we deserve at least one sequel. At least one.

If we give the box office a 60/40 split (60% of domestic takings and 40% of international takings), it's made about its production budget (around $95,000,000) back at the moment. It's early days, but if they announce a sequel anytime soon, it will be not much more than PR to get more people into theaters.

I'd imagine it will hit streaming before the studio seriously consider a sequel.

Agreed this BO WW is insanely good. The potential for the sequel to do better now that Alicia has been established is huge. Sequel should be announced soon not to mention a female lead action adventure franchise is just what Hollywood need

Took the missus to see this yesterday for our seventh anniversary. She was sceptical going on because she's not keen on the reboot era, but she thoroughly enjoyed it.
