While he's iconic, isn't he the best thing about the mini-series since everything else pales in comparison?

Bill looks great and terrifying, but the rest of the cast also looks terrific, story's intriguing and it looks gorgeous. Give him a chance.

Just because it's a new version doesn't mean it can be appreciated all the same. Anthony Hopkins will always be Hannibal Lecter but that doesn't mean I can't love what Mads Mikkelsen did with the character. Same logic here: Tim Curry will always have a place in our hearts but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy what Skarsgård is doing with the character. And from what's been shown off so far, it looks like we're in good hands.

Ugh, all that hype just means that all the stupid annoying teens will flock to this waiting for jump scares. And when they get jump scared they laugh with their 43 friends about it for like 10 minutes afterwards

Yep. I had a couple (the only 2 other people in the theater) for The Witch and the chattered through through most movie , laughed when the son died and then they walked out,

This is the reason why I go to see horror movies at lunch time instead of the much preferred nighttime screenings.

The leper is already visible in both the first trailer and in on-set photos.
