THANKS Grubert,AVATAR BD do miracles ,PQ just marvelous and which have never expected before from BD can be expected here.Just out of this world,now the question can BD do more.

As for the Sound just Outstanding you will be asking for more DTSHD master audio,It is like magic

I'm pretty sure that image was out before the film came out in the cinema. Is there any proof that it is from the Blu-Ray?

There is this note at the end of the review:

even the calm moment is Superb wait till the explosif moments ,Bass is working like magician and James Horner music is like a charm,Maybe in french it is very good but in it's english version where you should watched.Sound is 5 all the way

What I want to know about the ultimate edition is if it will have the 2.35:1 version of the movie as well; that's the only thing that could make me wait or double-dip. I don't care for extras so if it's going to be the same 16:9 disc then I'll just get this release and be done with it.

It'll be 1.78:1. Cameron has said that it is his intended OAR and all releases will be such.

Enough of this canned outrage. Studios did it on DVD, they've done it before on Blu-Ray and they will do it again.

Thanks for the link, I had missed that important bit of info, guess I'll just get this first release then.

Though it makes me wonder why the trailers were all scope and why they even bothered with that ratio in the first place.

My guess is that this was such a unique undertaking that he just wasn't sure what he preferred by the time of the release, possibly due to time constraints, and by now he's finalized his position.
