Default GREEN LANTERN TRAILER - Fan made

Holy crap! Check this amazing fan made trailer out. If nothing else, the creator must be given kudos for a job well done.

And... surprisingly... I think I like the idea of Nathan Fillion as a potential candidate for the role!

He would do well. Anyone is better than Seth Rogan.

That was really cool, and after seeing it, I also think Nathan Fillion would be a great choice in the roll. I appreciated the stuff "borrowed" from Star Trek and LOTR.

It's pretty great for a fan trailer.

But there are a couple of tidbits I would like to point out; Some of the sequences I've noticed were from Star Trek, Fantastic Four, The Matrix Revolutions, and Iron Man.

But overall, it's an awesome fan trailer.

Really? Are you sure? Could you give me time reference points from the clip so that I can look at it more closely to see if I can locate those myself?

Also, is there anyone who can tell me which part of the dialogue is from Lord Of The Rings? I seemed to have missed that too!

I know nothing of The Green Lantern besides a few articles here and there but Captain Tight Pants would be awesome in that role from what I just saw!

it's alright. I don't like fan made trailer anyways. AS soon as i saw that space diving sequence from Star Trek i stopped watching. It took a lot sequences from fantastic Four, Alien vs predator requiem, superman returns, Iron man. That's why i don't like fan made trailers. It's just some guy messin up my favorite movie sequences.

Make a fan made trailer like those guy who did the hunt for Gollum. That's creativity

That's also a lot more costly. This was one person and his computer software. Pretty freakin' amazing considering that fact. He probably didn't have the time, money, resources, or equipment to create something from scratch himself. Besides... I'm certain that Nathan Fillion would laugh at the letter he would receive from some "lone ranger" asking him to participate in something like this with no budget. The point was to show that a film of this nature would be suitable for Nathan Fillion! Now, studio executives and potential directors can look at something and say, "Hey... that could work. Get me in touch with his agent." I think that was the point of it all. Besides, The Hunt For Gollum is not a fan made trailer. It's a short film that stands on its own using source material left out of the films (for obvious reasons... appendices).

Here's the stuff I caught watching it just now. I'm not 100% sure about everything that will follow, but I know at least 80-90% is accurate, and I'm also sure there's more that's not noted below. I didn't catch anything from AVP:R, but that doesn't mean it's not there. I think I recognize the scene at the beginning where the original Green Lantern crashes to Earth, but I can't recall which movie that's from.

0:12-Firefly
0:56-Superman Returns (I think)
1:00-Iron Man
1:20-Iron Man
1:22-Fantastic 4 ROTSS
1:24-Star Trek
1:36-Chronicles of Riddick
2:00-Firefly
2:03-Fantastic 4 ROTSS
2:07-Star Trek

Most scenes last a couple of seconds. There are clips from Firefly/Serenity I didn't specifically note above-basically every scene with Nathan Fillion is from Firefly/Serenity. I have no idea where the final scene came from though. Any time you see the Green Lantern flying solo is from Iron Man. When there's 3 flying straight down, that's from the new Star Trek. The yellow villain toward the end is Agent Smith from Matrix Revolutions. The one scene of GL flying into the big vortex is the Silver Surfer flying into Galactus from Fantastic Four 2.

Dialogue
1:28-1:34-LOTR
1:38-1:46-Star Trek
1:50-1:54-LOTR

That should be enough to get you started.
