Cliffhanger Audio recording stuff up? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys,

I've got the cliff hanger blu-ray disc and it seems the left and right channels are on the wrong sides.

All other blu-ray Titles I've got have been fine except for this one...

amp issue? Or is it possible the disc was released like that? I Somehow doubt it...

my setup is here.

any help appreciated... cheers...

Yes I have the exact same problem with my Cliffhanger Blu-Ray Sound.

All other movies are fine. Setup is fine.

But The Cliffhanger bluray has the left and right channel sound backwards.

I don't know why?

I assume you both are talking about the UK version. It is a documented screw up (that plagues all versions that stem from Studio Canal except the Japanese version) and no fix has been issued.

I encountered the problem on the UK release and did contact Optimum on the issue, but never got any response

(nor did other owners). When I got no response from Optimum, I returned the disc and fortunately got my money back. A corrected version is not available as the issue seems to be ignored by the label (the fact, that the Australian release, which was released much later than the UK release, still has the problem, speaks volumes...).

After all I'm still waiting for a proper US release. (the German release is fine, but has forced subs on the English audio track)

"Eastern promises" UK has the same problem by the way. But here at least the US release is fine.

Can somebody please confirm if the audio is fixed on the US release?

There was never a problem with the audio on the US Blu-ray. You are safe to order.
