Default Sony STR DG720, handshake problem

i have a problem with my sony receiver, str dg720, i have it hook it up to my ps3, ps3 to receiver, receiver to tv, by hdmi cables(all new cables), whenever i turn on my ps3, the audio and video jump out for a sec, looks like a handshake problem i guess, this happens 5mins in sometimes 45mins, it can get really annoying when watching a movie and im really into it and all of a sudden it jumps out for a sec and it jus throws me off, has anybody else experienced this problem? its past the return/exhanged period, so i really dont know what to do, anyhelp would be great!! thanx

and if ive left something out, then feel free to ask

I've found that it's usually not the equipment's fault, but the cable's fault. What you are describing is usually due to a loose connection and HDMI cables are prone to this. Make sure they're tightly in there or replace them altogether if it keeps happening. This happened to me and I swapped out different HDMI cables until I found the culprit.
