Sony Ericsson Aino Supports Remote Play

Sony Ericsson just unveiled the world’s first phone to tap into the PS3 remotely. It uses the remote play function PSP owners will be familiar with, serving up photos, videos and music from the console at home, no matter where you are. Read on for all the details.

The Sony Ericsson Aino is a beautiful phone. Using both a touchscreen and keypad, it packs 3G skills, Wi-Fi and an 8 megapixel camera, but the real selling point is its ability to tap into the PS3 from afar.

Whether it’s using a Wi-Fi network or 3G, it can suck up video, photos or music using Wi-Fi or 3G. But that’s not all.

The Aino is also the first Sony Ericsson phone to come with a Wi-Fi dock included. Plonk the phone down and it’ll sync media from your PC wirelessly. It also comes with stereo Bluetooth headphones, also charging from the dock. It’s a swish little package and no mistake.

I expect there's more like this to come with Sony rolling out the PSN in some form across more products.
