Rumor: Epic and Sony to anounce a Horror Game Exclusive to PS3 at E3? - Blu-ray Forum

Next Tuesday Sony and Epic Games will announce a brand-new horror based title exclusively for the PS3. The game will be utilizing the more refined Unreal Engine 3 than found in Gears of War 2.

This will be the second Epic title to land on the PlayStation aside from Unreal Tournament 3. However, unlike Unreal Tournament, this game will remain an exclusive. The game should see release this winter. All this information is from a very credible source.

Do we even dare try to believe in this?

Please let it be a Japanese style horror game (The Ring, Fatal Frame, etc)!! Or even a sci-fi horror like Dead Space!

Damn, looks like Sony going all out this year. I thought they would come out swinging. Given how Gears 2 look on 360 this new game is probably going to look pretty mindblowing.

I hope this is true. I love horror games. I liked Dead Space a lot, but was disappointed in the lack of horror aspect of Resident Evil 5. Hopefully this game, if this news is true, will be good.

Yeah, I saw the "rumor squash", but coming from a "gearsofwar" fansite ... I wasn't expecting anything different

Epic just tweeted about a big announcement at Microsofts conference today, so it sounds like they may have a few tricks up their sleeves this e3.

Epic with a big news announcement at Microsoft's keynote would probably be Gears of War 3...which would also cover Microsoft's "AAA exclusive being announced at E3".

With the just announced map packs for multiplayer and the new single player campaigns for Gears 2 it would seem odd for them to announce Gears 3 at this point, so hopefully it's a new game.
