More Clive Barker on Blu??? - Blu-ray Forum

Sorry if it's already been discussed, I searched but had no luck.

I was wondering if anyone had heard any realistic rumors about when Nightbreed and Lord of Illusions might get a Blu-Release.

I have not read anything regarding Lord of Illusions and Nightbreed. Very worthy films. Hopefully, they will be announced soon.

That sucks. I hope they come out before Oct. I'm trying to build my Blu-horror collection with worthy films because I like to watch at least 1 horror per night during that month and I'd like them to all be crystal clear

The "legendary" director's cut of Nightbreed would be awesome on Blu-ray. Read so much about it, but never seen it...

Yeah, Barker said a lot about it and wanted to do it on DVD but it never happened. I guess they never got either the money of the materials.

I seem to remember reading something like Clive was trying to find some missing footage that Fox had. I think there's something like an extra twenty or thirty minutes that he wanted to add to it.

That's what I heard as well. Let's hope they dig a bit deeper in Fox's archives for a Blu-ray release.

I love Nightbreed. Very cool with an utterly creepy David Cronenberg...

I wonder if Clive is too obsessed with his painting right now to put enough effort into finding the footage. I sure hope not

Yeah, he seems a bit ocupied these days. Painting and writing children's books of all things. The master of the macabre doing children's stuff. Kind of cool... in a bizarre way.
