I went to the thread, and it's cool to know that someone on this forum actually has this puppy!!! I have GOT to audition the AVR600 with B&Ws, Thiels, and Aerial Acoustics speakers.
I can't wait til the Arcam BD player comes out. Can you imagine the equation:

Arcam AVR600 + Arcam BD player = the home theater rig of God Himself!!!!

A lot of people are sceptical about the credibility of that review. There's been a review by the rather more reliable HiFi News here in the UK this month, and it was broadly complimentary, but not nearly so enthusiastic. The power measurements were a bit disappointing - around 7x90W into 8 ohms, but the HDMI jitter measurements were spectacular - less than 5 psec.

However, users are still saying that good CD players with analogue connections can improve on even high quality universal transports with HDMI connections. Having said all that, most people who have heard it have prefered it to other receivers, and decided to take the plunge. Does sound like a goodie.
