Talking Can't play Blu-ray discs - Fixed :D

I got my self a new LG GGC-H20L Blue-Ray drive for my pc. Tryed some dvd's and normal music disc's out on it, and worked fine.
But when i got round to trying three of my new Blue-Ray movies out, nothing !
After a while of the drive trying to read the disc, it just tell's me to insert a disc.

I have the new CyberLink PowerDVD 9 software and CyberLink PowerDVD 7 i got with the drive.

Spec's

Intel duo E8500
4GB Memory
ATI 4870 Video card
Hanns G HW173 Monitor

Any ideas before i send it back.

You sure you have Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra? Thats the only version with Blu-ray playback I beleive. And remember it is Blu-ray with no 'e'. Also Welcome to Blu-ray.com!

Absolutely! Make sure it is the Ultra version. Also, there is a new patch for PowerDVD 9 Ultra @ the Cyberlink site.

This is the same thing happening to me currently on a machine with almost identical spec's.

Mine's going back tommorrow, I think there must have been a dodgy batch of these or something, there's a serious problem with these Drives, there's a ton of threads all over the net about it from people in the exact same possition as us.

Are you getting a new LG HCC H20L or are you going to switch to a different drive all together? If you do stick with the LG GCC-H20L can you let me know if you have any better luck with your replaicment?

I got a message from ebuyer.com today after sending it back. which is where i got the drive. After extensive testing by there technicians, they found that the drive is faulty and will send me a replacement. I should get it by friday, just hope this one works

I was gonna be humorous and offer the suggestion of taking the 'e' off of Blue-ray and then it probably would work but I see the solution has already been found.

Good luck, welcome and enjoy!
