Asked in another forum, just wanted to get a second opinion here:
I want to backup files off my old computers that are 5 and 8 years old, to prevent a loss of data. What in your opinion is the best offline media solution? I wanted an external hard drive, but I am worried that without regularly spinning the disc, the drive might become corrupt. I don't have a massive amount of data, I believe it was under 100gigs? I don't have a DVD burner either, so I'd like to avoid using DVDs if possible. Again, what in your opinion is the best offline media format to backup a decent sized amount of data that will stay offline? Thanks!! |
