Prices of DVD movies (now)

I think there's a very big difference on prices of movies in different contries.

It looks like the price in US are lower initially but then stays almost the same.
In Denmark (where I live) a new DVD normally costs 199 dkr (~ 33 US$). Special releases are even more expensive. I have Lord of the Rings 1, 2 and 3 in extended version. Each 4 DVD set was 499 dkr (~ 83 US$).
But also you can buy budget movies. Today I am going to pick up "Shawhanks redemtion". It will cost me just 25 dkr (little more than 4 US$)

Disneys original animated movies have been one of the exceptions to the falling of prices. But recently even they are selling the movies for a lower price eventually.
