Australia Terminator 2 - Different Cover

Looks like the Aussie release will get a better cover than the US release!

The UK one has this cover, but it's a steelbook. It doesn't have a normal Blu Ray case inside.

It is very good, though there has been a wee bit to much DNR applied (though I never saw it in cinema, so maybe that is how it looked [possibly due to having to remove grain so as the cgi looked more real]).

[edit: me English good is it ]

it would be good to see some direct image comparisons to the Uk Studio Cannal release which is already out here in Aus/NZ.

I think we should, often though we have the UK ratings instead of the Australian ratings (clearly the same thing just bieng sold here with no changes). The best is also when you put in an Australian disc and get an FBI warning.

The colours represent the rating, so it does make sense in a way, and I think the idea is to help make it easier for the consumer (though must buying a disc don't really care as cinemas are the only place you'll ever be asked for your id).

Sometimes on the Disc itself we have them. on this Terminator release, the closest to a UK rating we have on the disc is a '16' in a black circle.

I cant think of any that have them on the actual cover, unless i they are directly from the UK.

which is which? the one on the left side of the bar looks better to me, the one on the right looks softer (look at the freckles on the lower cheek)

The one with nearly all the fine detail missing is the Skynet, which is the white bar pulled all the way to the left on mine. It looks like how the world looks to me without my glasses, LOL!!

well the picture on the old one might have abit more detail, but it also doesnt have a lossless sound track, where the new release has a lossless DTS-HD-MA and the picture still looks good on the skynet version.. i prefer the skynet edition!!! i got the new one for 29.95 from JB...

DOH! now i understand what your talking about. your reading the review for the previous USA release. Im talking about the AUS release (this is in the AUS part of the forum btw). The earlier AUS release has DTS HD MA 5.1. the new Skynet has DTS HD MA 6.1
