(Mods, if this should go in Audio discussion, please move.)
We have a TiVo Series 3 (their first HD unit) as part of our HT setup. Recently, we've gotten mysterious drops in audio, both in live TV and recorded shows. * This only occurs on the TV with the TiVo. Our other TV's are fine. * The audio drops no matter if I'm running the sound through the TV, or through our receiver, so I'm pretty sure it's the TiVo. * If I change channels, and then change back, the audio sometimes comes back. Sometimes it's out for hours, and only on specific channels (usually HD channels). It's never out on every channel. As it stands, my cable company is blaming TiVo and TiVo is blaming my cable company. Given that the Series 3 uses CableCards, there's really no way for me to determine where the fault lies. Anyone have any experience with this? |
