Default The Departed Video Quality

Hey, can anyone tell me how The Departed on Blu-Ray compares in video quality to titles like Pirates of the Caribbean 1 + 2 and Casino Royale on Blu-Ray?

I own both pirates and the departed, and while the PQ is better on POTC1-2, it is still great on departed... definetaly a must have for any BD collection!

Deperted is excellent. A 4.5 star rating no more no less. The Pirate movies are both stellar in pq and sound. Would really take something special to knock those 2 out of the best picture catagory. Departed would make an excellent purchase.

Ironically, they're thinking about doing a sequel. They're supposedly working on the script already. Gonna be hard since half the people are dead but Scorcese is supposed to direct it if they do ever make it.

I just rewatched Departed yesterday. Having just watched POTC 1&2 the other day, it's not quite as good as either of those, but it's pretty good. I could pick out a few flaws here and there, but it's still pretty damn good. AWESOME movie too, I think I liked it twice as much the second time around. I could watch it again already.

the Departed is a better movie than either of the Pirates movies....but the Pirates movies obviously offer better special effects...

the quality is clearly better on the Pirates movies...but I wouldn't slight the quality on the departed at all..

yep, Departed is an excellent movie and it's top tier PQ. Dare I say I found it pretty much on par with POTC (settings just aren't as dazzling)...

I read that someone else might direct, possibly Michael Mann or Alfonso Cuaron. That is, of course, assuming Scorsese chooses not to. I kind of wish they had stuck to the original plot of Infernal Affairs, but I guess it's sort of cool to make their own new trilogy out of it.

Oh and good PQ on the BD. I didn't buy it yet, but I rented it. I will be purchasing it soon enough though.

I like the PQ on The Departed too. Can't really compare "apples and oranges" - I'm referring to the CGI on the POTC movies...

Story line: Freaking awesome!! POTC doesn't hold a candle in that regard!

Ugh... doesn't matter what happens to the story line.

If we can make money on it, by gosh, let's make a sequel.
