Missed surround sound moments - Blu-ray Forum

I was watching the L Word on DVD and had the 5.1 surround sound track selected, the women were at a club and the music was only coming from the front three speakers. Now I don't know about you but I have never been to a club where the sound only comes at you from the front.

Terminator 2

When arnold shoots at the police, SWAT, etc. with the mini-gun from inside the Cyberdine building. Should've been an incredible reference surround sound scene, but, sadly, wasn't.

In Bolt, when Bolt first uses his super bark and blows all those cars and motercycles back, they Disney only utilised the front 3 channels plus the bass. I expected to hear cars, motercycles and dirt and debris to be flying through the rear channels.

28 Days Later, petrol station blowing up. They kept quick cutting the scene so the explosion never finishes. I can't explain it, it just felt like the perfect opportunity for some good surround.
