Problem with COD4 - Blu-ray Forum

Couple weeks ago i stoped getting gameplay sound(gun fire explosions etc.)from my front speaker while at same time i can hear people with headseats clearly.Blu rays work fine so do the other games like KZ2,resistance 1&2,oblivion and when i listen music works just fine.I have Yamaha RX-V661 reciever conected to PS3 with HDMI.
Any ideas?

You sure this is not Socom

In any case, you could try deleting the game install (not the save) and then just redownload when u put the disc back in .... it may work.

It's COD4 and how do i delete game install?

Under the Game section of the XMB, go to Game Data, then scroll through until you find Call of Duty 4. Press

and delete it. Don't delete the Game Save though (which is in Game Saves).

I had some abnormal audio about a week ago, just rebooted and started over and it's fine now.

I'm sorta having the same type thing only with MK vs. DC universe. Fireballs and projectiles and things like that are all coming from the right surround speaker even when they originate from left side of screen or go flying past combatant through left side of screen. All other games are fine as are blu-ray's.

You might have to redownload those. In that case, just go back to the PSN Store after you reinstall the game and redownload it there.

Yup and with no extra charge. Just go to the downloads list and find anything you downloaded for CoD4 and your all set

I reinstall the game and nothing.But i still hear voice within the game(when you hear things like'enemy has B-defend HQ etc.
