Default Pre-owned HD DVD decks at Target

What's that about? I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

I think under ethical truth in advertising instead of calling this merchandise "pre-owned HD-DVDs" they should call them "dumped HD-DVDs". Under supply and demand I think more and more of these will come on the market and fewer people will be interested in buying them. The result will be gradually decreasing prices. We'll probably begin seeing more on eBay also for the same reason.

So, if you want to still get a reasonable price for your HD-DVD before the prices plummet, DUMP IT NOW. And dump your HD-DVD discs also.

Target
Usually you'd see the term refurbished.

Refurbished means they have had some 'work' done on them...

Pre-owned, in this case, means most likly someone bought the HD-DVD player, destroyed the box, and demanded to return it, and a manager let them.

They're trying to sell pre-owned boxes for that much?. They'll have to throw in about 25 free pre-viewed hd-dvds to make that worthwhile now.

wait a minute, if they're doing this now, what's coming.. the timing is saying something to me.

Nope, not preboiled, you still have to boil it yourself. Wal-Mart's actually stocking the HD-DVDs by the aquarium fish now..you find the movie you want and they take it out of the case, they fill up a bag with water from one of the heated tanks, and they send it home with you all sealed up, hoping by the time you get ome, the hot water got the disc all nice and clean.

There's a 72 hour return policy..if your HD-DVD dies within 72 hours, you can take it in and get another one, but after that, tough luck, once it's dead it's dead
