That's what happends to Blu-Rays when you let HD DVD fanboys get a hold of them....drop some dirt on them, sprinkle some paint on them and use it as a last ditch effort to stop the Juggernaut that is Blu-Ray and call it rot.

To all HD DVD fanboys who browse through this site (and I know you do).....FACE IT, IT'S OVER!!!!

You know, you're right, I didn't say it before, but I thought it looked like paint spatter too!

You'd swear that someone held the disc at arm's length and spattered a light brown paint on the disc. Whatever the "rot" is it sits on the surface of the disc... much like paint spattered from a spray can.

Funny the craptastic quality of the video... grammar errors and all. Good to see them slam both Blu-ray and Sony at the end... let's me know that the video can be completely disregarded for anything other than mild humor value.

that has actually happened to some regular dvds of mine before...but it was because they were left out in my friends dorm room which was really messy and gross and over time it just built up like that...so yes it can happen...if you leave it sitting out with the disc side up.....

What a stupid fud video, to all out there that have blu-ray rot (I know its not really rot, but an imperfection in the disc making process), call either the manufacturer of the disc, or sony, and I am sure you can exchange it for a good copy.

LOL, poor HD-DVD FUD. Someone should post a video with instructions on how to boil your HD-DVD disc to get it to work.

all this video did was to get people to buy Blu-ray more, anyone who sees this video know it's an attempt from the HD-DVD fanboys to get them buying HD-DVD only. people are already catching on that the HD-DVD group are nothing but a bunch of crooks.

That is sooooooo fake. If that was true one would show that is would not come off buy trying to clean the disc in front of the camra & then putting the disc into a bluray player. One looked like someone sneezed on it & the other just had dust.

I actually just sat through the other video this idiot made called "PS3 sucks". Which he posted on the PS3 launch day about all the reasons why the 360 is better (it has more games!!!), the PS3 hasn't sold that many units (only 88,000!!!), the games will cost $20 more than the 360 and that Blu-ray sucks because "HD-DVD has more studio support". Bear in mind again that this was posted last November. Like most M$ fanbois, he seems to be pretty objective...

some random person posted a video online about blu ray being crap , damn i better get rid of my blu rays then , i always base my choices in life off random info i find online!

i find it amusing that the only thing they have to fling at us is 3 titles having some trouble which can easily be fixed by getting a disc replaced yet they seem to ignore the various software freezers in HD DVD players , children of men not even working , the 360 eating discs of you talk louder then a wisper near it , the 3 rings of hey guess what mircosoft have your money now sucker and the list goes on.

Wow, never showed any disc label sides, never placed one in the PS3 to "prove" it doesn't load, shows the same footage more than once (at roughly :04 and :43). I guess we should take his word for it that these discs are BDs and that they are actually rotted. Not a very persuasive video.

I think I know a possible cause; open a can of Coke right next to the disc. That crap will eat through anything.

I left a comment. Total FUD. No evidence proving it was a BD or that it wouldn't play. It is very obvious he downloaded those pictures from other people/websites, otherwise the video would have been VIDEO and not a slideshow.
