Default Isnt it possible for Blu-ray to just blend in with DVD?

Let me explain what I am saying. Isnt it possible, if Blu-ray wins the format war, for us to just see all movies as dvd/Blu-ray hybrids instead of just dvd movies and just Blu-ray movies being seperate? So everyone with a dvd player could play them and it would be easier to transition into Blu-ray than trying to have both. I for one would think that would be the best so no one has to not buy Blu-ray cause they dont have a player, and when they are ready then they already have those in high def. As long as price is similar I believe people would go for that and some might not even notice at first that they just bought a dvd/Blu-ray movie. How does anyone else feel about this?

Hybride discs are on the BDAs roadmap and already completed

You can see one here: https://www.blu-ray.com/images/media/jvc3.jpg

IMO it's highly doubtful initial Blu-ray discs will be hybrids but it would indeed be a smart move if they were. We should have some solid info on what Sony, Disney, Fox, and Lion's Gate plan to do very soon.

Thats right... My opinion is: There's a lack of news/communication.
