Default The Incredibles DVD "demo disc" on HD DVD player...

I work at Costco, and they had an HD-DVD player (which aren't selling) demoing The Incredibles! When I first noticed I was like, "what the hell"!!! So I asked one of the electronics guys what was going on? He said that they were just playing a regular dvd of the incredibles on it. I was thinking that if someone actually bought an HD-DVD player and wanted to get those movies, would be really dissapointed!!! lol! In short, I just scared me to see it being demoed on HD-DVD!!! That would be horrible if diseny went HD-DUD, won't happen though!!

Actually, I think this is a great idea. Let a few members of J6P get sucked in this way, buy the player... then be REALLY pissed off that they can't get these movies because they're in the other format! Cut to: Them taking the player back for a refund and tons of bad word of mouth to friends and family about hd-dud.

But of course I come from the "Jack D. Ripper" school of war strategy.

That is a good point. Never thought of that.

My local BB had POTC1 on their HD DVD player during the first 2 weeks of the 3rd movie. I thought it was odd but then I realized its just a marketing gimmick to get ppl to buy during the fire sale

I wonder if they feel embarassed everytime someone picks one up? I'd feel guilty selling it to someone.

I think it's funny, I was just looking up Crutchfield's site, and all the HD DUD players were in stock, along with the LG combo player. Yet the Blu-Ray players were either in backorder, preorder, or low stock. Guess people are starting to realise which the better format is.

It's because they got a large shipment in recently. They had been sold out before. It works the same with most electronics. Nothing new.
