Default Thoughts on fiber ceilings lights and light bars?

basically what im trying to accomplish is to give some light over my home theater signs (take a look at my gallery) and give some overall ambient line to the room.

Im thinking a light bar of some sort either under (if u can see in the pictures there is actually a shelf about halfway down the wall) or up top pointing down. And posibly a couple behind the tv itself. So im looking at 4 total, 6500k is the way to go right?

Next i was curious about the fiber optics in the ceiling, i have probably the easiest ceiling to do this with. I have those cheapo pop panels that rain stupid white crap down on you everytime you move them...ahem anyways but i was thinking of doing some fiber optics in them, but i was wondering if its posible to do enough of them without mangling my ceiling to provide just a low lvl ambient light?
