No news about this, but it's not likely to happen this year, as HBO has already announced Rome and Sopranos season 1 for this year. This show wasn't a big hit so it's not one of HBO's bigger priorities.

Yeah its one of my fav HBO shows but I dont think its coming on BD anytime soon.

Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger (although some things were resolved). Still a great series.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if it ever comes out on Blu-ray. I don't think the DVDs sold very well, since they were marked down so fast. Season 1 (DVD) is currently $18.99 on Amazon but it was close to $100 when it came out.

It is definateley worth buying on DVD/BD.

It does not really end on a cliffhanger but it doesn't completley resolve the story.
Most of the apparent questions of Season 1 are answered in Season 2.
The end of the first season has a huge cliffhanger, season 2 only shows you that it would have continued.
The first chapter always should have ended with the second season and the next chapter would have picked up 4 years later (the end of the second season takes place in 1935, season 3 would have started 1939).

HBO is pretty terrible with releasing shows. I'd buy Carnivale in a second (it's my favorite HBO series), but HBO is slow as heck.

On the other hand "Six Feet Under" wasn't anounced yet and is a show which wasn't canceled...

Love Carnivale. Some of the best opening credits of all time, and the show lived up to them. If it had debuted in 2013 instead of 2003, it would be a huge hit.

Yeah, I'm not going to bother with this since it never really completed. But it was a good show, wish they'd end it properly though.

I'd definitely buy it. One of my favourite HBO shows ever. Plenty left unanswered but the final episode was satisfying enough. Already have the DVDs but would upgrade to BD in a heartbeat if I ever got the chance.

Just revisited this series for the third time over the past two weeks. I find it amazing that HBO have not released this on blu ray yet. The brilliance and richness of story, mythology and characters that were created with this series really has few equals. C'mon HBO! Get with the program and release on blu ray! And for God's sake commission the final four seasons....
