Default CSI, Smallville, Supernatural... New Shows in HD?!?

Hey everybody! This is my first post, and im new to the world of forum-ing, so you'l have to be patient with me as i get to grips with how it all works.

I've spent a good few months on this site, reading different topics about what other people have to say on numerous subjects, and I'm quite excited to now be able to get in there with my own point of views and opinions.

But anyway, enough rambling... I've used the search function as so many of you have told us newbie's to do before, and I cant seem to find the information I require on titles I'd like on the fabulous format that is Blu-ray! I am a big fan of TV on DVD, but since adapting to Blu-ray several months ago, I would prefer to get my shows in high def (CSI: Miami, Smallville and Supernatural)

As most of you probably know by now, Smallville season 6 has been slated for 18th Sept on DVD, Supe Season 2 for 11th Spetember, and CSI: Miami for October sometime (following NY's s3 DVD release on Oct 9th). My question is how many of you guys out there would gladly purchase the Blu-ray sets of these over the DVD sets? I guess this is just for personal preference to see if there is actually a large demand for these series in HD or not, because the more responses i get, the more i can feel assured they're wanted and may in fact come out soon.

Feel free to bring any other shows you want on Blu-ray to the table, and how you'd like them presented (how many discs, codecs, booklet or not, packaging - smallville hd-dvd style or cardboard like Sopranos?)

What are your thoughts?

Welcome!

There hasn't been any information on your 3 shows you want.

I personally would like to see Samallville and Supernatural on Blu-ray too.

Along with Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Bones, Angel, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Firefly, 24, Bablyon 5, Angel, Andromeda, Alias, Charmed,
The upcoming 2 Stargate SG-1 moives, and the upcoming Babylon 5 The Lost Tales movie.

That's all I can think off right now, I'm also a big fan of TV Shows on DVD, so I would love to see them coming to Blu-ray.

thanks for the first reply mate!

whoa! that's a lot of shows you like, you're definitely more into TV on DVD than me by the looks, but I'm glad im not the only one out there!

I was wondering actually about Smallville season 5. Everyone knows its out on HD DVD, and I'm confused whether its not out on Blu-ray because of the whole IME and PIP featurelessness that BRD has, and Warner are infact waiting for that to work before releasing it or they just aren't gona bother releasing it at all?

Does anyone think that the same will go for Smallville s5 as like Batman Begins and all the other delayed Warner Bros blu titles that will come when PIP is ensured?

I'd like to see the X-Files series and movie, Ghost Hunters, the Simpsons, and maybe Unsolved Mysteries on Blu Ray. I'd go into debt getting the X-Files, but it would be worth it if they can get good PQ and SQ. Supernatural would look great as well. Just thought of another one, Invasion.

NCIS is one of my favs along with 24 and all the CSI'S. Smallville would be nice too. I love Two and a Half Men but will likely never see the light of day.

I'm not sure about Smaville Season 5 on Blu-ray. I've heard different stories, one story said Warner wasn't going to release Season 5 on Blu-ray they were going straight to Season 6. Hopefully not, I want Season 5 on Blu. I hope Warner is waiting for PIP to release it. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Unsolved mysteries is absolutely SD only, as is over half the Simpsons.

Smallville S6 is supposedly coming out on Blue

This news of Smallville s6 supposedly coming out on Blu-ray is quite exciting news...

Can anyone point me in the direction fo sites or news articles that bring this subject up, no matter how vague?

I know it's up on amazon.com, but in the form of one of those hard to believe "let you know when it's out" pages! Just need some damn clarification haha!

I would like too see some tv on blu ray. My choice would be the simpsons, family guy, american dad. 24 would be amazing on blu and i would like to see day break get a release aswell even if its on dvd and studio 60 aswell. Some of the oldies like friends, joey and fresh prince would be cool aswell.

But only time will tell. So lets wait and see.

I have heard Stargate Atlantis, 24, Prison Break and Smallville as announced for BD. No movement towards this actially happenning though. So far there Rescue Me S3 on BD, Sopranos S6 Part 1, Weeds Season 1 on BD and Planet Earth. Series with dates is Weeds S2 and Nip/Tuck S4

See, i don't understand why Warner Bros. would release Nip/Tuck on HD DVD & Blu-ray now, and not Smallville, which i think is probably more popular and also a part of the WB's biggest franchise: Superman, not to mention is older and has got more of a fan base than Nip...

Oh Warner, you do make the darndest desicions...

There could be any number of reasons.

24 at best will be announced officially with the season 6 set, which won't be till around October

Prison Break on BD would almost certainly come with the start of the second half.

I'd like:

Lost
The Sopranos: The Complete Series
CSI
CSI: Miami
CSI: NY
My Name Is Earl

The Sopranos complete series would be REALLY expensive, though.

Didn't i read somewhere that the episodes of Seinfeld were mastered in HD for the DVD season box sets that have been released and come to an end soon?
