Honestly? I don't even look at thread ratings, I trade with people based on their rating and my comfort level with them.

He means that thread rating at the top, it's 1-5 stars, not the actual rating you get from buyers or traders.

Yea the thread ratings I don't pay attention to at all. Not saying some people don't...but I think most look at the thread itself and the person's trading score/comments.

if we're talking about trading threads, i think the ability to tell someone their thread sucks, with old titles at ridiculously high prices or outlandish trade wants in return, is a must. since some forums don't like threadcrapping, telling someone they're off their rocker by anonymous vote seems quite fair. it would warn others that the thread isn't worth the time to bother viewing. it would stay within the rules without jacking OR crapping on a thread.

what about people giving their OWN thread 5 star ratings? hmmm? some sites run it so that vote scores don't even show up until there is a set amount of votes given. i dunno if that is the case here, but that DOES prevent massively fluctuating scores, for sure.

btw, 1 star for this thread, especially since you don't want to be a part of the rest of the forum, to be excluded, in a sense. take your lumps like the rest of the members of the forum.

Exactly. Trading score is all I look at. I don't even bother with the thread rating.

I have never even noticed the star system in grading threads. This will be my first time to do it.
