If you could squeeze another 15.00 into the budget I'd say the A6-5T5 from Elemental.

I of course would tell you to suck it up, wait and save to get something that you might really prefer or an exact replacement but, I understand your in need! I don't know what brand of speakers you already have but I use Polk and here a descent center channel speaker under $100 not including S&H. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290021

I'm sure it will do very nicely. There is nothing wrong with it and it will be better than nothing. Depending on the other two front speakers this may or may not overpower them, if that is the case then i recommend lowering or raising the center channel level to compensate.

best of luck

dont laugh but its kind of thrown together from the mitsubishi fronts to the onkyo and klh rears the center is a crappy optimus speaker didnt have a great budget to spend on speakers had $1000 to purchase everything including a computer and reciever which killed about 75% of that budget but waiting till next tax season for speaker upgrades but the optimus is total crap it sounds so damn tinny i cant stand it anymore btw reciever is pioneer vsx 919

Sounds to me that the KLH rears might be the strongest part of your current speaker set-up. Have you tried moving them to the front?

How much would it cost to get another Mitsubishi Centrer channel like you had? It sounds to me that would be your best choice. It's important to match your Center to your fronts and a replacement of the value you're talking about will most likely yield the same unsatisfactory result.

I'm somewhat speechless to be honest. I think a good alternative would be to either look at the options Big Daddy provided or make Nick4u_81 an offer on his.

Fluance is a Canadian speaker manufacturer. Their speakers are decent for the price. CNET did a review and gave them good reviews for value speakers.

I don't know anything about that, but here are the CNET reviews:

If you are concerned about Fluance, try The Speaker Company.

Certainly nothing to laugh about. There are a lot of posters here that just use their TV speakers and have no HT at all. We all started somewhere.
