Default burning blu ray hd on dvd r

Hi all,
I have a hd sony camcorder and can make a standard dvd (red laser) play an authored hd file on a hd player such as the toshiba (many are doing this)
I am looking at the ability for blu ray to do similar with the ps3..
I have ulead movie factory that will author blu ray hd .
Does anyone know if I can do similar as hd and export the blu ray iso or video folders to be then burnt onto a red standard dvd?
My next question is will this dvd then play on the ps3 to provide 20min short high definition movie like the hd dvd concept?
thanks.

this will work on some players as long as you don't go too high with the bitrate. The first gen Panasonic allows it, not sure of the others.

With the PS3 you don't need to transfer to a DVD. You can view the file using an external drive, the camera itself or transfer into the PS3's HDD.

The PS3 can let you view x.v.YCC videos off HD cams. If your HDTV supports it as well as your editing software, that would be a way to go - that is burn a DVD data disc with your file in it.

thanks fuad..
I was hoping to continue to make a standard type/form of a high def dvd.
Understanding much will and always change but looking to standardise as we move forward.
Still not sure if I can burn an authored red dvd to a blu ray format from ulead movie factory as this would be a standard if at all possible.
thanks.
