Question Burning to a blu-ray

I hope this is a logical questions, I have a copy of the Cream Reunion concert on HDDUD, i dont forsee it ever coming to blu soon, mind you i personaly dont have a blu-ray burner, is there away to burn it to a blu-ray so i can watch it on my blu-ray player. This is the only HDDUD i kept really in hopes i cant get this acomplished. Any help/info would be apreciated. Even if there is someplace i can send it and pay a little for it to be done. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Firstly I'm not sure that what you want to do is legal so be prepared for the mods to close this thread. Your best bet is to find some one who has or purchase yourself a combined HDDVD/ Blu ray drive and copy it across. LG do one but i'm not sure of the model number. I don't think that you will find any one legit who will charge for the service as it would be classed as piracy

Edit: Found the model number GGW-H20L

Why would it be illegal if it is for your own use and it is something that you have purchased just like in the days of tape, My Dad and i would by a LP and then record it to a casssete so we could listen in the car or on a "walkman" when we were working out or something, wouldnt it be the same. It not like asking someone renting a movie and burning it, or borrowing someone elses movie to burn. I even remember a cnet article or somehting, that was telling all HDDUD owners that all wasnt lost with the movies they bought they could burn them to blu?

It's a website specific rule here.
Ripping is bad.
Doesn't matter if it is some discontinued DVD to the HDD, Blu-ray to the HDD, Personal Backups, or a HD DVD to a Blu-ray - discussion is not allowed here.

Not my rule, site rule(s).

https://forum.blu-ray.com/faq.php?fa...forumrulesfull

"It is strictly prohibited to discuss websites, techniques, software and any and all methods that can be used to duplicate, acquire or otherwise access copyrighted and copy protected material except via approved methods by the copyright holders (Blu-ray, DVD, iTunes, digital on-disc copies etc). This includes any and all all variations of disc copying software, torrents and any and all technologies that are available or may become available in the future for these purposes."

Well maybe if you destroy the HDDVD after copying it and hang onto the pieces or at least a photo of it destroyed to prove you paid for a legit copy it might be considered legal, but even that is doubtful. It's not like software that says you can create one valid back up copy for your own use. Obviously you bought the movie because you had an HDDVD player or intended to get one, so why not just use it?

it can be done, just use the power of google to search and find the necessary tools. you need a bluray writer/reader and hddvd drive, bluray discs are still a little expensive. i did the same thing withthe bourne movies, couldnt wait . i did buy the blu box set when it came out.

Well thats the thing i bought it and a blu-ray player at the same time ing the format war, blu was oviously better, but the theing is on the HDDVD is has stop working with very little play time even. (no wonder they went out lol) but so that is my delima, and i dont feel like spening money on aother player for one disc, which is why i was wondering, and as far as forum rules i understand. Rules are Rules i was just talking about the actual legal stand point.
