Default The Future ************************

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OLED , first in 26" . . . than larger . . . (NOV)

1080p is out . . . . It will be 2540p (?) (?)

Bluray discs we all bought lovingly will be obsolete. (BD-2540p)
The Next New. All to be displayed on -- OLED's

Players will upconvert 1080p to 2540p?

(correct me on the resolution p if I'm off)

Ebay anyone ?

suckers.......................

New products/technology is inevitable, enjoy the ride and be thankful that something bigger and better will always be on the horizon, that is why we love this hobby so much !! Bring it on.

Ahh come on, 16 times today resolution!!!! Do we really need that? I was watching Equator on my HDR on 1080i and it was gorgeous!!! And what media beside blu ray can support that? Those preaching about download today are dreaming if they think they can get today HD quality let alone this one. Also the US need to concentrate on infrastructure, craftmanship and good business practice. We are way behind on being the digital society the rest of the world is. Tell me it's 2009 and how many channel are just now HD????

The Sony X Series 5500 series (XBR 10) has been DELAYED . . and will NOT be shown in Berlin is Sept.

Also: Samsung AND Sony are made IN THE SAME factory and they have all the SAME guts . . . . . . . . .

2540p? That might have uses for digital cinemas, but in a home environment with much smaller screens it's doubtful that our eyes could resolve that level of detail.

+1 with the exception of larger front projection setups there will be no need for this level of detail.
