Hello all, I am glad I found this forum. I am not a wiz and I need advice. I purchased a 65" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV (1080p) this past Dicember. I then got a Toshiba upconvering DVD player that lasted 5 months but gave me incredible picture. Now I got the new Blu-Ray Samsung BD-P1600. I bought "Black Halk Down" (1991), "Enter the Dragon" and "U-571" on Blu-Ray. I CAN NOT SEE MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE upconverting and the BD. I have a HDMI cables with everything (HD cable box, TV, and BD)... powered by a YAMAHA RX-V665 receiver. Is it that the TV is too big and I will not be able to see detail as good as on a 40" flat screen?... I have also heard of "CALIBRATING " the TV but it costs $300.00 dollars to have it done by Best Buy......
Do I have to do something to the TV? BD? Please advice. Thank you |
