Default Microsoft Covering Up Forza 2 Crash Forum

For you Forza 2 players out there:

http://news.filefront.com/microsoft-...2-crash-forum/
Quote:
I reported yesterday on the threads popping up in the official Forza 2 forums claiming that Forza 2 is causing the Xbox 360 to crash. Apparently, now Microsoft has taken steps to cover up the forum that has gained massive attention in the past 24 hours. I am highly dissapointed in this move, considering I am a strong supporter of keeping things public, particularly when there could actually be a problem that consumers should be aware of. I should have screen captured the forums, but the thought that Microsoft might delete them entirely wasn’t a thought in my mind. Hopefully Microsoft will redeem themselves in the near future, and make some public statements concerning the widespread claims that Forza 2 is causing Xbox 360 units to crash. Some reports even claimed that Forza 2 was causing the Xbox to permanently crash. I’m not sure how much of this is reality, but it needs to be addressed immediately.

In what appears to be an effort to conceal the over 900 replies gamers provided on the official Forzamotorsport.net forums about Forza Motorsport 2 crashing on the Xbox 360, Microsoft has deleted the long thread, now stating that it’s “exclusive content for registered forum users” only. However, the thread was removed entirely, even to registered members. This comes after the thread was revealed and reported on yesterday, gaining plenty of attention. In the thread, hundreds of gamers posted their stories on what happened to the 360 when playing Forza 2, and expressed frustration, anger, and disappointment.

All corporations are out for the $tockholders interest and not the customers right now. Customers will eventually say enough is enough then they will shift again. At least that is how it has worked in the past. Right now there are so many people who unequivocably love corporations that things have changed.

"Sony Sucks" - angers many.
"Microsoft Sucks" - angers many.

They are corporations but there you go. It's weird nowadays.

Fill this form out if your 360 died after playing Forza 2

After the insane amount of people who have encountered problems with Forza 2 breaking their system, I've decided to make a thread to try to get an actual count of people who've had their Xbox 360 die since their Forza purchase...

I've contacted Microsoft and navigated them directly to this thread and forum. It is being escalated internally to Microsoft representatives and they've agreed to call me back Monday, June 9th, after they've reviewed and discussed this matter and the results.

Please fill this out if your 360 has encountered 3 Red Lights after playing Forza 2.
If Forza has broke more than one of your systems, fill this out once for each additional one.
Fill in the following so we can keep this pretty organized:

1. Where are you from?
2.a. How long have you had your 360 before it died?
2.b. Do you know the Manufacture Date and/or Model? (ex. Core, Premium, Elite)
3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before you got the 3 red lights.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza?
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?

If anyone can think of any other questions I should add, please feel free to suggest here.
I can also be contacted on AIM, at venomshot@teamvsf.com, as well as on MSN, screen name venomshot629@yahoo.com.

(FYI... I'm backing up and saving every page of this thread to my computer, in case it... "Dissappears" or is considered a "Duplicate topic".....)

This is freaking pathetic, and further proves how inferior the Xbox 360 actually is.

Everybody knows that MS are pushing the envelope with all of their latest first/second party releases since GeoW, so it comes as no surprise that the development team pushed a bit too much to get the physx right or whatever and now consumer grade equipment is suffering from chronic overheating.

What exactly did they test the game on before releasing it? The old power-pc based macs? (like those they used for development before 360 came out)

I thought it was a buggy s/w issue. Didnt know it was heat-related. If so, does that mean all 360 games must be developed to not push the h/w too hard. Whither 1080p games?
